This house sits on a lot of double width and double size. It was originally built to be a two-car garage, but the builder ran out of money and the house meant to go in front was never built. The garage was converted to a house by putting a divider right down the middle, creating two large rooms. A sun porch and a two-story rear addition were later built. This house was owned by Peggy Zea and her husband. She was an adventurous gardener who experimented with exotic plants like bamboo. This house stood vacant for several years at the end of the 20th century. It was then purchased by Jean Roger and Hedwige Messier in 2000. In 2001-2002 they added a large addition which almost doubled the size of the house. They filled in the lily pond and cut down almost all of the stand of mature bamboo in the front garden.
