Four (4) photocopies of b/w photos. Annotated on back: "415 Elm Avenue (now 419)| Built 1942|Picture taken 1928| Charles N. Thomsen." This is the residence of Dorothy Thomsen Barnes in 2002. Charles N. Thomsen was her father. One front view of the house has the letter "D" painted on one porch post. This indicated that Charles N. Thomsen was a Civil Defense warden during WWII. One of the images is of the house that originally stood at 415 Elm when Thomsen purchased the property. It is a shotgun house which was torn down when the present house was built. Thomsen also owned/ Dorothy Barnes also owns the neighboring lot where a garage once stood, but which is now vacant. |
