Mr. Thomas J. Delaney of 8008 Takoma Avenue in Takoma Park was a Civil Defense Warden during World War II. His papers include correspondence, Civil Defense manuals, Naval Reserve materials, ration coupons, pamphlets, newspaper clippings, arm bands, a flag and an honoral discharge button from the Naval Reserve. Also included is a letter from the Secretary of the Navy, James Forrestal to Mr. Delaney upon his discharge to civilian life. |
