In some cases, Historic Takoma wrote the profile.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">You can find the full list of known Takoma authors by going to the <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1Q_xc1ri7C4mG8UL7Gf0UM0wJKTIwhX1J5GdpC_LqEGQ\/edit#gid=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Authors List<\/a>.<\/span><\/strong> Authors with profiles are highlighted on the list. If you know of an author not on our list please send us a note at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:archives@historictakoma.org\" data-type=\"mailto\" data-id=\"mailto:archives@historictakoma.org\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">a<strong>rchives@historictakoma.org<\/strong><\/span> <\/a>with the author&#8217;s contact information.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">You can find a list of books by Takoma authors in the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/13CiTaevuekKv5r6X9YL3_ojqOGO-oD2cNYQv4N8QZb4\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Titles Index<\/span><\/strong>.<\/a> Those titles that are available for review in the Historic Takoma Reading Room are noted by RR.&nbsp; Those books, which are available for either review or checkout through the Takoma Park Maryland Public Library are noted with TPML.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:44px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#015039\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>Takoma Authors in Area Libraries<\/strong><\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">The public libraries in our region are another way to connect with local authors. The libraries include books by local authors that meet the selection criteria for that library.\u00a0 Some include electronic format books in their collections.\u00a0\u00a0<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.takomapark.info\/library\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Takoma Park Maryland Public Library <\/a>collects books of interest for all age groups in the greater Montgomery County area, with a special emphasis on the needs of and relevance to Takoma Park residents. When a book written by a Takoma Park author is added to the collection, &#8220;Takoma Park authors&#8221; is denoted in the <a href=\"https:\/\/takoma.bywatersolutions.com\/\">catalog<\/a>, and patrons may find those items by searching the quoted phrase.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montgomerycountymd.gov\/library\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Montgomery County Public Libraries<\/a> include works of local\u00a0 authors in its collections and the Kensington Park, Rockville Memorial and Marilyn J. Praisner branch libraries include works by local authors on its local authors shelves.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dclibrary.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">District of Columbia Public Library<\/a> includes both print books by local authors and works of fiction published by local authors as ebooks to its collections.\u00a0\u00a0<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/catalog.pgcmls.info\/polaris\/\" target=\"_blank\">Prince George\u2019s County Library<\/a> includes works donated by local authors who are current residents of Prince George\u2019s County and the surrounding area (Montgomery County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Calvert County, Charles County, and the District of Columbia) for the Library\u2019s collection that have met the criteria stated in the selection policy for library material.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#015039\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>About the Takoma Authors Project<\/strong><\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">The Takoma Authors Project collects and documents the work of authors living in (or closely associated with) Takoma Park.&nbsp; If you are a published author living in Takoma Park &#8211; or once lived in Takoma Park or otherwise are closely associated with Takoma Park &#8211; Historic Takoma would like to add you to its Takoma Authors Collection.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">The process is simple.&nbsp; We request: 1) a donation of your publication(s) to add to the collection.
